What do a broken heart and Adam Sandler have in common? Oh, let me count the ways. Heartbroken in my 30's after years with the proverbial high school quarterback, confronting personal 9/11 fallout, self-medicating with a bottle of wine and a pack of cigarettes every night for weeks, this is a life lesson of how Big Daddy showed up in the broken bits of my shame, tears, laughter, and hope, and how He'll show up in your broken bits too. This was one of my, Kairos Course Correction moments.

There is a sweet spot between about 22-39 years old. A time when you're coming into who you think you are and what you think you should be doing. Then you realize you've simply graduated from a sort of life’s safety net, and that the road you’ve taken isn’t exactly a dead end, but it’s certainly not life giving. What’s going on and how do you navigate what you thought you knew, where you're headed, saving yourself time, tears and misguided trajectories?

When one thinks about the concept of organization, often times it begins and ends with describer words such as tasks, sometimes goals, a manageable process, or colorful charting, and those are all true, but the ‘art of cultivating organization’ is actually a dance of choreographed course corrective mindset steps and strategy, designed to create the desired balance, focus, and sanity. Let's put on our dancin' shoes. Shall we dance?

What does trusting God really look like in a practical sense, in the day to day, in the eye of the storm, in the tears of the trauma, in the pit of despair? The Lord often times has a surprising way of speaking into our vulnerability and pain to get us right where He knows we need to be in order to fully grasp our identity in Him.

If we are supposed to be here on purpose and designed with purpose, why are we so conflicted about finding our light? Every born leader, (spoiler: that’s you too!), needs refining, guidance, and about 79+ chances as we navigate the journey. The world should get to experience who God made you to be, in your truest, most unabashed form. Cue the spotlight and stop waiting in the wings, because YOU are your own Leading Lady.
